The lead feature

Move Route — every stop, one tap to navigate

A move is never one address. The job’s address is the pickup; add the delivery address and any extra stops — a storage unit, a second house — and the crew knows what’s waiting at each one before the truck pulls up.

  • Access notes per stop. Floor and flights of stairs, elevator or freight elevator, long carry, parking and gate details — on every stop, not buried in a note.
  • Directions (all stops). One tap opens the maps app with every stop in order — pickup, storage unit, new house.
  • The access charges follow the stops. A third-floor walk-up or a long carry from the street becomes a line on the work order, not a surprise on moving day.

From a 3-bedroom house to a third-floor walk-up

For local and regional movers — household and apartment moves, office moves, labor-only crews, packing, pianos and safes — whether you run one truck or twenty.

8:00amHouse move

3-bedroom house across town, piano in the basement. The crew lead taps 3 bedroom, garage, stairs, piano: 4 movers, 26 ft truck, about 6 hours. One tap and it’s on the work order. Six hours later the customer signs on the tablet and pays by card before the truck pulls away.

1:30pmLabor only

The customer rented their own truck; you’re loading it from a third-floor walk-up. Labor-only rate, 2 movers, the stairs charge from the stop — and the 3-hour minimum is already on the line.

Put it on the work order in one tap

Pick the home size — studio to 4+ bedrooms, a small or large office, or a single item — tap the extra areas, or type the cubic feet if you know them. RouteHouse shows the estimated volume and weight and a suggested crew, truck size and hours. Then Put on Work Order prices it from your price list.

  • The right crew-and-truck line. 2, 3 or 4 movers plus truck by the hour, with your 3-hour minimum built in.
  • Travel and access charges — the travel or truck fee, stairs, long carry, shuttle truck, piano and safe — go on from the job itself.
  • Everything else is one pick away: boxes, wardrobe boxes, mattress bags, pads and shrink wrap, packing labor, extra movers.
  • It’s a guide, not a cage. The crew lead can change the crew, the trucks or any line.
Your rates, not ours

Billed by the hour, the way movers quote

Every move runs on a line-item work order: crew + truck by the hour with a minimum, additional movers, labor-only rates, travel fee, long-distance mileage, packing labor, materials and specialty items.

  • A starter price list is loaded. Set your own rates once and every crew lead quotes the same way — a change in the office reaches every tablet.
  • Hourly or flat rate. Record the estimate either way, and the hours on the clock land on the invoice.
  • Contract rates for property managers and realtors. Their own rate sheets and minimums, applied automatically to their moves.

Multi-day moves without the mess

The crew taps Arrive, End Day — the move comes back on tomorrow’s schedule — and Finish. Each day keeps its own time on site, who was on the crew and what was done, and the invoice adds the days up.

  • Signed on the tablet when the move is finished — and at the end of each day on multi-day moves — with no signal needed. Each signature prints on the paperwork.
  • Deposits and progress billing on the big ones, so the office move over a weekend isn’t all billed on Monday.
  • Delayed by the customer? “Not ready / no access” is its own outcome, on the record with the time.

Your bill of lading, built from the move

The customer signs the order for service and bill of lading on the tablet before you load, accepting the valuation they chose. One tap prints it as a PDF built from the move — no separate paperwork to fill in twice.

  • Everything from the job. Your company with your USDOT / MC numbers, the customer, pickup, stops and delivery, services and estimate, and the charges so far.
  • The valuation box with the declared value, plus any pre-existing damage noted at load.
  • Your own terms printed on it — and the interstate booklets on long-distance moves.
  • Valuation changed after signing? The app asks for a new signature, so the paper always matches the choice.

It’s your own document — the content you enter and your own terms, signed on the tablet. RouteHouse prints the numbers you enter; it doesn’t make anyone compliant.

The paperwork that saves the argument

Valuation and damage, on the record

Record the estimate (hourly or flat rate), the valuation the customer chose and any pre-existing damage noted at load — so when a dresser shows up scuffed, you already know whether it left that way.

  • Released value or full value protection. Released value (60¢ per pound per article) or full value protection with the declared value — the customer’s choice, recorded on the job.
  • Pre-existing damage at load, damage at delivery. Both go on the report.
  • A claim to be filed raises a follow-up for the office automatically — it doesn’t live in the crew lead’s memory.

RouteHouse records the valuation the customer chose and the license numbers you enter on your paperwork. It doesn’t provide insurance or coverage.

Built for moving — not a generic line-item builder

The things generic field apps get wrong for movers

Every stop on one job

Pickup, extra stops and delivery, each with its own access notes — and one-tap directions through all of them.

A move-size estimator

Home size, extra areas or typed cubic feet in; estimated volume, weight, crew, truck size and hours out.

Hourly billing with the minimum built in

Crew + truck by the hour, your minimum, additional movers, travel fee and long-distance mileage — priced from your own list.

Access charges that don’t get forgotten

Stairs, long carry, shuttle truck, piano and safe go on from the job itself, so a walk-up never gets billed like a ranch house.

Multi-day moves

Per-day time on site, crew and signatures, with the move rolling onto tomorrow’s schedule until it’s finished.

A bill of lading built from the job

Order for service and bill of lading, signed on the tablet before loading, with the valuation, declared value and pre-existing damage — and a claim follow-up when damage is reported.

The job types movers use

In-home or virtual estimate, local move, long-distance move, labor only (load / unload), packing / unpacking, office / commercial move, piano / safe / specialty item.

Households, offices and realtors

Families and apartment moves, plus office moves over a weekend and contract rates for the property managers and realtors who send you work — on one customer book.

Offline, install-free & bilingual

Works with no signal in a basement or a freight elevator, installs from a link (no app store needed), and runs in English or Español.

Paid by card, synced to QuickBooks

Connect your own Stripe account — customers pay the invoice by card from a link and the money goes straight to your bank. QuickBooks sync when you want it.

Job costing on every move

Crew hours from the Time Clock, materials and travel against what you billed, so you know which moves actually made money. On Growth and Pro.

Same account as Junk Removal

Move-outs and clean-outs are the same customers. Run Junk Removal on the same account and the stuff that isn’t going to the new house goes on the next truck. See Junk Removal →

A move, start to finish

What a move looks like on the app

1

Book it

A booking request comes in from your website, a call or a text — or book an in-home or virtual estimate first for the big ones.

2

Size it

Add the stops, pick the home size and the extras, and get a suggested crew, truck and hours.

3

Put it on the work order

One tap prices the crew-hours, travel and access charges from your rates. The customer signs the bill of lading before you load.

4

Sign and get paid

The customer signs on the tablet, the hours land on the invoice, and they pay by card before the truck pulls away.

Works on any internet-connected phone, tablet or computer — iPhone or Android — right in the browser. One step further: the RouteHouse app for iPhone and iPad adds deeper integration with your device, including notifications for new jobs and schedule changes (coming soon to the App Store). Watch it work

Two minutes beats two pages of copy

Unedited screen recordings of the live app — the schedule your crew works from, and the office side you run the business on.

Septic pictured. Every trade runs the same app with its own form template, checklist and price list — on Moving you’d see the Move Route, the move-size estimate and the crew-hours work order, not septic’s.

A day on the schedule

Septic, grease trap and drain jobs from the morning route through the “on my way” text — weather, crew, addresses and job notes all in one screen.

1 min 43 sec

Customers, properties, commissions and CSV exports — the admin work that usually lives in someone’s spreadsheet, running off the same records as the field app.

Beyond the truck

Fill the schedule, and get paid faster

The field app runs the visit. This side grows the business — booking, billing, texting and the integrations crews ask for most. It's all live today.

Time clock Growth & Pro

Crews clock in from the truck — their own phone or a shared tablet, even with no signal. GPS on every punch, overtime figured for you, and a payroll-ready export at the end of the week. See how it works →

Contract & after-hours rates

Give contract customers their own prices and minimums — their work orders use them automatically. Set your business hours and a multiplier, and after-hours hourly work gets the premium line on the invoice.

Customer sign-off on reports

The customer signs on the tablet; the signature prints on the report.

Emergency Call quick dispatch

Take the call, pick the truck that can do it and is on the clock, and send it — in under a minute.

Job costing Growth & Pro

See labor, materials and disposal against what you billed, and clocked hours that never made the invoice. Labor comes from the Time Clock.

Weather-aware scheduling Pro

Know before moving day if it’s going to pour. A 7-day forecast sits on your schedule and flags the days that put weather-sensitive work at risk — and each tech sees that risk on his own jobs.

Calendar sync Pro

Your whole schedule in Google, Apple or Outlook — plus a private per-tech link so each person sees only his own route, nobody else's.

Website lead capture Pro

Turn your site into a booking engine. Use a hosted request page or embed it on your own site — requests land right in your schedule and convert to a job or quote in one tap, with address autocomplete and an optional auto-text confirmation.

Business texting

Text from your own registered business number — “on my way” notes, reminders and a two-way message center with replies and a chime, plus automatic STOP opt-outs handled for you.

Online card payments

Connect your own Stripe account — customers pay by card and the money goes straight to your bank. Send a secure “Pay this invoice” link by email or text; paid and owing reconcile themselves, with an optional cash discount if you'd rather steer customers off cards.

Quotes & estimates

Branded, line-item estimates sent by email or text. Track what's been sent, and turn a won quote into a scheduled job in one tap — no re-typing.

QuickBooks Online

Push invoices straight to QuickBooks — no CSV in the middle. Run it by hand or set it automatic on a daily or weekly schedule, with tax-mismatch review flags before anything posts.

Recurring-service forecast

The service-due pipeline puts a dollar figure on your repeat work — this month out to five years — so you can see the revenue coming and rebook a customer in one tap.

Follow-up leads

Any report that flags a problem becomes a bookable repair lead — nothing that needs a return visit slips through the cracks, and the work is already scoped. For moving that means damage at delivery marked “claim to be filed” lands on the office’s list automatically.

Never miss a call

A closing-day call comes in while both crews are mid-move. The RouteHouse Phone Assistant answers every call, just the ones you miss, or only after hours — your choice — and drops a ready-to-schedule request in your Requests box. Urgent calls — “we close today and the crew isn’t here” — are flagged 🚨 and can ring straight through to you.

Keep your number. Per-company add-on, works with any plan.

Questions

Moving company software, answered

  • What is moving company software? It runs the office and crew side of a moving company. RouteHouse books the move with every stop on one job, suggests a crew, truck and hours from the size of the home, puts crew-hours, travel and access charges on the work order from your own rates, gets the customer’s signature on the tablet and turns it into a branded report and invoice the customer can pay by card.
  • How does the move-size estimator work? Pick the home size (studio to 4+ bedrooms, a small or large office, or a single item), tap any extra areas (garage, basement, attic, patio, home office), or type the cubic feet if you know them. RouteHouse shows the estimated volume and weight and a suggested crew, truck size and hours. It’s a guide: the crew lead can change the crew, the trucks or any line.
  • Can one move have several stops? Yes. The job’s address is the pickup. Add the delivery address and any extra stops, such as a storage unit or a second house, each with its own floor and stairs, elevator, long-carry and parking or gate notes. Directions opens your maps app with every stop in order.
  • How does hourly billing with a minimum work? Put on Work Order adds the right crew-and-truck hourly line (2, 3 or 4 movers plus truck) with your minimum, plus the travel or truck fee and any stairs, long carry, shuttle truck, piano and safe charges, all priced from your own price list. Tap it twice and nothing doubles up. Boxes, wardrobe boxes, mattress bags, packing labor and extra movers are one pick away. A starter price list is loaded and every company sets its own rates.
  • How do multi-day moves work? Pack day, load day and delivery day run on one job. The crew taps Arrive, End Day (the move comes back on tomorrow’s schedule) and Finish. Each day keeps its own time on site, crew and notes, the customer can sign at the end of each day, and the invoice adds the days up. Deposits and progress billing work on multi-day jobs.
  • How are valuation and damage recorded? Record the estimate (hourly or flat rate) and the valuation the customer chose, released value at 60 cents per pound per article or full value protection with the declared value, plus any pre-existing damage noted at load. Damage at delivery goes on the report, and a claim to be filed raises a follow-up for the office automatically. RouteHouse records the customer’s choice on the job; it doesn’t provide insurance or coverage.
  • Is there a bill of lading? Yes. The customer signs your order for service and bill of lading on the tablet before loading, accepting the valuation they chose. One tap prints it as a PDF built from the move: your company with your USDOT and MC numbers, the customer, pickup, stops and delivery, services and estimate, charges so far, the valuation box with the declared value, pre-existing damage, the interstate booklets on long-distance moves, your own terms and the signature. Change the valuation after signing and the app asks for a new signature. It’s your own document with the content you enter and your own terms.
  • Does it handle labor-only, packing and office moves? Yes. Job types include in-home or virtual estimates, local moves, long-distance moves, labor only (load or unload), packing and unpacking, office and commercial moves, and piano, safe and specialty items. Contract rates for property managers and realtors go on their own rate sheets.
  • Does RouteHouse handle storage? Storage is coming soon to the Pro plan: vaults, storage-in-transit and monthly storage billing. A storage unit can already be an extra stop on a move.
  • How much does RouteHouse cost for a moving company? It’s priced by the truck, not per user: $99 per truck per month billed annually ($1,190 per truck per year) on Solo, $149 on Growth and $249 on Pro, or $119, $179 and $299 month to month, with a quoted Fleet tier for larger operations. For a limited time, buy one year and your second year is on us. Every Moving feature is on every plan. Unlimited office staff and crew.
  • Can customers pay by card? Yes. Connect your own Stripe account: customers pay by card from the invoice link and the money goes straight to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. If you already use Stripe, connect that account. Stripe’s processing fees show on your own Stripe statement.
