Who it’s for

Built for home service companies that want bigger tickets and repeat customers

You quote installs and replacements

Water heaters, doors, generators, whole systems. Put three options in front of the customer and let them pick the better one, not just the cheapest.

You sell maintenance plans

Comfort club, service agreement, PM plan — whatever you call it. Stop tracking members on a spreadsheet, chasing renewals and forgetting the fall tune-ups.

Your office books seasonal visits by phone

One customer at a time, every spring and every fall. Let members pick their own day, and keep the phones for the few who don’t.

Proposals

Good, better, best — signed on their phone

Give the customer real choices and make saying yes a one-tap job.

  • Up to four choices on one proposal, each with its own items and total — or start from a saved option set, like “Water heater replacement: 40 gal / 50 gal high-efficiency / tankless.”
  • Sent by text or email as a link. The customer opens it on any phone, sees your logo and every choice side by side, picks one and signs with a finger.
  • Accepted becomes a job with the lines they picked — no retyping. Declined? You see it, with their reason if they gave one.
  • Know when they opened it. A follow-up list shows proposals with no answer after a few days, with a one-tap reminder.
  • Deposits built in. Ask for a percent or a set amount; the customer sees it before signing, and accepting drafts the deposit invoice for you to send. Deposits and progress bills come off the final invoice automatically, and go to QuickBooks as their own invoices.
  • On the tablet, at the kitchen table. The tech hands the proposal to the customer to choose and sign right there.

Financing on proposals

Show the monthly payment on every choice

Financing through the lenders you already work with — offered right on the proposal.

  • Add your own lenders. Works with Wisetack, Synchrony, GreenSky, Service Finance and others — paste the application link each lender gave you.
  • “Or as low as” on each choice, with the full payment example printed right underneath.
  • An Apply button that opens the lender’s own application.

How financing works

RouteHouse doesn’t lend, doesn’t make credit decisions and never sees the application. The customer applies with the lender directly, on the lender’s own page.

You keep your own agreement and rates with each lender. RouteHouse puts the option and the example payment on your proposal.

Memberships & maintenance plans

Plans that track themselves, down to the visit

Build the plan once. RouteHouse applies the prices, flags the members and keeps count of what’s owed.

  • Build your plans: price, monthly or up front, term, auto-renew, the seasonal visits included, a repair discount, priority scheduling, no diagnostic fee. Cover the whole home or specific equipment, with a price for each extra system.
  • Member prices apply automatically — on quotes, at booking and in the tech’s price list on the job.
  • Members show a ★ on the schedule, the booking screen, the job and the report (“next visit: fall tune-up”).
  • Techs sell plans on the job. One tap in the field app, and the first payment goes on today’s invoice.
  • The numbers owners ask about: active members, monthly recurring revenue, new and cancelled this month, churn, renewals coming up, visits done vs. owed, and deferred revenue — paid-for visits not yet delivered.
  • Cancel with a reason, at the end of the term or today; reinstate any time.

Members book their own visits

The season opens. The schedule fills itself.

When a visit comes due, the member gets a text and email with a link to pick a day and arrival window — booked instantly, straight onto your schedule.

  • Your own arrival windows, like Morning 8–12 and Afternoon 12–4.
  • Only real open times are offered — your working days and holidays, a couple of days’ notice, and no more maintenance visits per window than you allow. Tune-ups fill the slow days instead of crowding out repair calls.
  • Texts and emails go out 9am–7pm, Monday–Saturday, and texts only go to customers who agreed to them.

No booking? It works down the list for you.

1

The link goes out

Text and email when the visit’s season opens.

2

A reminder text

If they haven’t booked after the days you set.

3

Then an email

One more nudge, with the same booking link.

4

The office Call List

The number one tap away. Log voicemail, no answer or not this season, and it comes back when it should.

Your fall tune-ups book themselves. You just call the few who don’t.

Member texts come from your own RouteHouse business number with the Business Texting add-on ($25/mo). Without it, the links still go by email.

Membership auto-pay

Renewals that charge themselves

The member authorizes it once. Every renewal after that just happens — on your own Stripe account.

  • The member authorizes it. They get a secure link, read the terms, tick that they authorize automatic payments, and add a card. Selling on site? They add the card right on the tablet.
  • Monthly or yearly renewals, charged automatically on your own Stripe account — the money goes straight to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. RouteHouse never holds your funds.
  • Declined cards handled. Stripe retries automatically and the member gets a link to pay with another card. Payments are recorded on the membership by themselves.
  • Members can cancel any time by contacting you. Cancelling stops auto-pay too, and a prorated refund to the card is one step.

Equipment & price book

Know the unit. Price the job right.

Customer equipment

Every unit at the customer’s home on file: make, model, serial, install date, age, parts and labor warranty, and where it is. Replace a unit and the old one stays in the history.

The tech ticks what they worked on, the report lists the equipment serviced, and each unit keeps its own service history. Memberships can cover specific units.

Price book

Categories, member prices, and customer-facing descriptions that print on proposals and invoices. A price builder: labor hours × your rate, plus materials × markup.

Raise or lower prices by percent for a category, a trade or everything, with a preview before saving. Export to a spreadsheet and import back to edit hundreds of prices in Excel.

One customer record across every job and property — duplicates merged, typos fixed — so memberships and history stay with the customer.

Works with every RouteHouse trade

Wherever you quote big jobs or sell a plan

Proposals, memberships and auto-pay come with every RouteHouse company, whatever the trade.

Pricing

Included with RouteHouse

Questions

Proposals and memberships, answered

  • Do I need Stripe? Only for card payments and membership auto-pay — you connect your own Stripe account. Proposals, memberships and member booking work without it; members can pay you however you like and you record it.
  • Do I need the texting add-on? No — booking links go by email without it. With Business Texting ($25/mo), members also get texts from your business number.
  • Which lenders can I use? Any lender that gives you an application link. You keep your own agreements and rates. RouteHouse doesn’t lend or make credit decisions.
  • Can I set my own arrival windows and how many tune-ups a day? Yes — and the days between reminders.
  • Can members cancel? Yes. You cancel for them — at the end of the term or today — with an optional prorated refund to the card.
  • Is it extra? No. It’s included with RouteHouse.
