The lead feature

The load estimate, a tap at a time

Junk is priced by how much of the truck it takes. So in RouteHouse the crew taps the truck where the pile reaches, adds what costs extra, and the price lands on the ticket — from your price list, not a guess.

  • Truck fractions built in. 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or a full truck, plus extra full loads — or count single items for a curbside pickup or one couch.
  • Surcharges are a tap each: mattresses, fridges and freezers (Freon), TVs and monitors, tires, heavy material (concrete, dirt, shingles), stairs and long carries, hot tubs, pianos.
  • Every crew quotes the same way. Your minimum load, your fractions, your surcharges. Change the price list in the office and every tablet follows.
  • Room to deal. Add a discount or adjustment when the job calls for one — it’s on the ticket, not in someone’s head.

From a garage clean-out to a trailer coming back heavy

For full-service junk removal crews, clean-out specialists, light demolition and haul-away, commercial debris and dump-trailer rental operators — whether you run one truck or twenty.

Tap 3/4 of the truck, two mattresses, a fridge: $559. She signs on the tablet. The dresser and bookcases go to the furniture bank, the fridge to scrap. Ticket says 35% kept out of the landfill.

Signed before you load

The arguments in this business are about the price, not the work. So the price, the load size and the items go on the ticket — and the customer signs it before anything goes on the truck.

  • “Customer approval — sign before we load.” Right under the price, on every ticket, every job.
  • Signed on the tablet, even with no signal in a basement or a back lot.
  • Prints on the branded PDF ticket and invoice — so the office has it if the call comes later.
Where it went

Where every load went — and how much stayed out of the landfill

For every job the crew splits the load: donated, recycled, scrap metal, e-waste, resale, transfer station, landfill. The customer’s ticket shows the number — “Kept out of the landfill: 35%”.

  • A company diversion rate. The office sees it for the last 30 days, 90 days or year, broken out by destination — the number you want on your website and in commercial bids.
  • Tip fees recorded, never printed for the customer. They feed job costing so you can see what each dump run really cost.
  • Donation receipts, not forgotten. When a load goes to a donation center and the customer wants a receipt, the office gets a follow-up to send it. Estates and clean-outs ask every time.

The diversion rate is your own recorded split — estimated by share of load, and weighed only when you enter a scale ticket. You send your own donation receipt (or the donation center’s); RouteHouse flags that one is owed.

Dump trailers, numbered and on the clock

Rent trailers on their own or alongside the crews — in the same app, at no extra charge.

  • Number your trailer fleet. Drop one on a job and the rental starts at your terms — price, days included, tons included.
  • Enter the scale ticket at pickup — gross and tare, or net tons — and extra days and tons over the included amount go on the ticket automatically.
  • A trailer board shows what’s out, what’s overdue, what’s booked from scheduled drop-offs and what’s in the yard.
The record people pay to see

Before and after, side by side

Shoot the before, load the truck, flip to After. Tag where — garage, basement, curbside, backyard, attic — and matching shots print side by side on the report. It’s what property managers, realtors and estates are paying to see.

  • Light demolition, done right. Sheds, decks, fences, hot tubs, above-ground pools and playsets — with a utilities check on the ticket: “disconnected by customer — verified”.
  • Not verified? The office knows before the crew goes back.
  • A branded PDF ticket with the load, the signature, the before-and-after pairs and where it all went.

Built for junk removal — not a generic line-item builder

The things generic field apps get wrong for junk hauling

Truckload pricing, built in

1/8 to a full truck, extra loads, single items and a minimum load — the way you actually price, not a generic line-item builder pretending to be a junk app.

Signature before loading

Price, load size and items on the ticket, signed by the customer before it’s on the truck. Every job.

A landfill diversion rate

Each job’s split by destination rolls up into a company diversion rate — 30 days, 90 days or the year. Rare in field service software.

Dump trailers in the same app

Numbered trailers, a day clock, tons included and the overage from the scale ticket — no second system for rentals.

Estimates as their own job

“On-site estimate” is a job type: walk the four vacated units, build the price from your price list, and send it — then turn it into the job in one tap.

Follow-ups that turn into the next job

“More to haul later?” books the return trip or offers a recurring pickup. Refused items left on site (paint, propane, suspected asbestos) send the customer the county drop-off info. Property damage reported? Call the customer today.

Before / after pairs on the report

Tagged by location and printed side by side, so the property manager or the estate attorney sees the job without a site visit.

Residential and commercial

Homeowners, estates and families, plus realtors, property managers, office clean-outs and contractor debris — on one customer book.

Offline, install-free & bilingual

Works with no signal in a basement or a back lot, installs from a link (no app store needed), and runs in English or Español.

Paid by card, synced to QuickBooks

Connect your own Stripe account — customers pay the invoice by card from a link and the money goes straight to your bank. QuickBooks sync when you want it.

Job costing on every load

Tip fees, labor and disposal against what you billed, so you know which jobs actually made money. On Growth and Pro.

Same platform as Roll-off Dumpsters

Running roll-off boxes too? Same customers, bigger boxes — and the same platform, so a shop running both doesn’t need two systems. See Roll-off Dumpsters →

A job, start to finish

What a haul looks like on the app

1

Book it

A booking request comes in from your website, a call or a text — or book an on-site estimate first for the big clean-outs.

2

Price it on the driveway

Before photos, then tap where the pile reaches and add the surcharges. The price comes off your price list.

3

Sign, then load

The customer signs the price on the tablet. Load the truck, shoot the after, and take the card payment on the spot or send the invoice.

4

Where it went

Split the load — donated, recycled, scrap, landfill — and the ticket shows how much you kept out of the landfill.

Works on any internet-connected phone, tablet or computer — iPhone or Android — right in the browser. One step further: the RouteHouse app for iPhone and iPad adds deeper integration with your device, including notifications for new jobs and schedule changes (coming soon to the App Store). Watch it work

Two minutes beats two pages of copy

Unedited screen recordings of the live app — the schedule your crew works from, and the office side you run the business on.

Septic pictured. Every trade runs the same app with its own form template, checklist and price list — on Junk Removal you’d see the load estimate, the sign-before-we-load box and Where It Went, not septic’s.

A day on the schedule

Septic, grease trap and drain jobs from the morning route through the “on my way” text — weather, crew, addresses and job notes all in one screen.

Beyond the truck

Fill the schedule, and get paid faster

The field app runs the visit. This side grows the business — booking, billing, texting and the integrations crews ask for most. It's all live today.

Time clock Growth & Pro

Crews clock in from the truck — their own phone or a shared tablet, even with no signal. GPS on every punch, overtime figured for you, and a payroll-ready export at the end of the week. See how it works →

Contract & after-hours rates

Give contract customers their own prices and minimums — their work orders use them automatically. Set your business hours and a multiplier, and after-hours hourly work gets the premium line on the invoice.

Customer sign-off on reports

The customer signs on the tablet; the signature prints on the report.

Emergency Call quick dispatch

Take the call, pick the truck that can do it and is on the clock, and send it — in under a minute.

Job costing Growth & Pro

See labor, materials and disposal against what you billed, and clocked hours that never made the invoice. Labor comes from the Time Clock.

Weather-aware scheduling Pro

Never send a crew into a washout. A 7-day forecast sits on your schedule and flags the days that put weather-sensitive work at risk — and each tech sees that risk on his own jobs.

Calendar sync Pro

Your whole schedule in Google, Apple or Outlook — plus a private per-tech link so each person sees only his own route, nobody else's.

Website lead capture Pro

Turn your site into a booking engine. Use a hosted request page or embed it on your own site — requests land right in your schedule and convert to a job or quote in one tap, with address autocomplete and an optional auto-text confirmation.

Business texting

Text from your own registered business number — “on my way” notes, reminders and a two-way message center with replies and a chime, plus automatic STOP opt-outs handled for you.

Online card payments

Connect your own Stripe account — customers pay by card and the money goes straight to your bank. Send a secure “Pay this invoice” link by email or text; paid and owing reconcile themselves, with an optional cash discount if you'd rather steer customers off cards.

Quotes & estimates

Branded, line-item estimates sent by email or text. Track what's been sent, and turn a won quote into a scheduled job in one tap — no re-typing.

QuickBooks Online

Push invoices straight to QuickBooks — no CSV in the middle. Run it by hand or set it automatic on a daily or weekly schedule, with tax-mismatch review flags before anything posts.

Recurring-service forecast

The service-due pipeline puts a dollar figure on your repeat work — this month out to five years — so you can see the revenue coming and rebook a customer in one tap.For junk removal that means recurring pickups for property managers and commercial accounts, forecast as money on the calendar.

Follow-up leads

Any report that flags a problem becomes a bookable repair lead — nothing that needs a return visit slips through the cracks, and the work is already scoped. For junk removal that means “more to haul later” turned into the return trip, quoted from the ticket.

Questions

Junk removal software, answered

  • What is junk removal software? It runs the office and field side of a junk removal or hauling company. RouteHouse books the job, lets the crew price the load on site from your own price list, gets the customer’s signature before anything goes on the truck, records where each load ended up, and turns it into a branded ticket and invoice the customer can pay by card.
  • How does truckload pricing work? The crew taps how much of the truck the pile fills (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or full), adds extra full loads, or counts single items instead. Surcharges are a tap each: mattresses, fridges and freezers with Freon, TVs and monitors, tires, heavy material like concrete, dirt and shingles, stairs and long carries, hot tubs and pianos. The price comes from your own price list, so every crew quotes the same way, and a price-list change reaches every tablet.
  • Can the customer sign before we load? Yes. The ticket shows the price, the load size and the items, and carries a customer signature box: “Customer approval — sign before we load.” The signature prints on the ticket.
  • How does landfill diversion tracking work? For every job the crew splits the load by destination: donated, recycled, scrap metal, e-waste, resale, transfer station and landfill. The customer’s ticket shows how much was kept out of the landfill, and the office sees the company’s diversion rate for the last 30 days, 90 days or year, by destination. It’s your own recorded split, estimated by share of load and weighed only when you enter a scale ticket. Tip fees are recorded for job costing and never printed for the customer.
  • Does RouteHouse handle donation receipts? When a load goes to a donation center and the customer wants a receipt, the office gets a follow-up so it isn’t forgotten. You send your own receipt or the donation center’s; RouteHouse doesn’t generate the receipt document.
  • Can I run dump-trailer rentals in the same app? Yes, on every plan at no extra cost. Number your trailers, drop one on a job and the rental starts at your terms: price, days included and tons included. At pickup, enter the scale ticket (gross and tare, or net tons) and extra days and tons over the included amount go on the ticket automatically. A trailer board shows what’s out, what’s overdue, what’s booked and what’s in the yard.
  • Can customers get a price online? Customers send a booking request from your website or a hosted request page. The crew prices the load on site from your price list, or you book an on-site estimate first, which is its own job type: walk the units, build the price and send it.
  • Does it handle light demolition like sheds, decks and hot tubs? Yes. Sheds, decks, fences, hot tubs, above-ground pools and playsets go on the ticket with a utilities check (“disconnected by customer — verified”). If it wasn’t verified, the office is flagged before the crew goes back.
  • How much does RouteHouse cost for a junk removal company? It’s priced by the truck, not per user: $99 per truck per month billed annually ($1,190 per truck per year) on Solo, $149 on Growth and $249 on Pro, or $119, $179 and $299 month to month, with a quoted Fleet tier for larger operations. For a limited time, buy one year and your second year is on us. Dump-trailer rentals are included on every plan. Unlimited office staff and crew.
  • Can customers pay by card? Yes. Connect your own Stripe account: customers pay by card from the invoice link and the money goes straight to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. If you already use Stripe, connect that account. Stripe’s processing fees show on your own Stripe statement.
