Two editions for the generator business

Standby Power is the whole generator business — service, plus a rental fleet included. Generator Rental is the rental side on its own, for yards that never touch a customer’s unit. Pick one; you never need both.

Service

RouteHouse for Standby Power

The maintenance plan that runs itself, and the service record that keeps the manufacturer warranty alive.

  • Every customer’s generator on file — make, model, serial, kW, fuel, transfer switch, warranty date.
  • A branded PM report — engine hours, as-found, battery load test, output, transfer and retransfer.
  • Load bank and NFPA 110 testing documented on one report the facility manager files.
  • The due list turns every install into a maintenance plan.
  • Rental fleet included — up to 5, 25 or 75 rental units by plan, with the drop pin and hour-meter billing.
From $99/truck/mobilled annually — $1,190 per truck per year on Solo · rental fleet included
Rental

RouteHouse for Generator Rental

Know where every unit is, how much fuel is in it, and what the customer owes when it comes back.

  • The drop pin — the driver pins the unit on the satellite view; refuel and pickup tap Navigate to unit.
  • Billing that does the math — best day/week/4-week rate, hour-meter overtime, fuel and extras.
  • On rent, lowest fuel first — the storm-season view.
  • Reservations and availability by size, with delivery and pickup on the schedule.
  • Swaps and service intervals — both machines billed; worn units held off rent.
From $99/truck/mobilled annually · up to 5 rental units on Solo, 25 on Growth, 75 on Pro

Service and rental, one edition

Customer’s generator down? Book a loaner on the spot.

Standby Power includes a rental fleet, so the tech who finds a dead unit doesn’t have to call the yard. He reserves a rental unit for that address straight from the job.

  • Reserved from the service job. The loaner goes to the same customer and address, no re-typing.
  • Delivery on today’s schedule. Pickup lands on the end date.
  • No overtime surprise. Outage loaners are booked at 24 run hours a day, so the customer isn’t billed overtime during the outage.
  • Then the repair gets quoted. The failed part becomes a follow-up for the office, while the loaner keeps the lights on.

Billed annually as one annual total per truck — $1,190 on Solo, two months free versus paying monthly. Prices exclude applicable taxes.

Just need scheduling, quotes and invoicing? Any Trade runs general service work for at least 10% less than Jobber, from $26 a month. It doesn’t include unit serials, warranty dates or maintenance records — that’s what the Standby Power edition is for, and Any Trade jobs come with it. Compare Any Trade →

Questions

Generator software, answered

  • What's the difference between Standby Power and Generator Rental? Standby Power is the generator service edition — the equipment record, the PM and load bank report, NFPA 110 test documentation and the due list — and every plan includes a rental fleet. Generator Rental is the rental fleet on its own — reservations, the drop pin, best-rate billing with hour-meter overtime and fuel — for yards that don’t service customers’ units.
  • Do I need both? No, and you can’t buy both together. Standby Power already includes the rental fleet — up to 5 rental units on Solo, 25 on Growth and 75 on Pro — so a dealer who services and rents picks Standby Power. Rental-only yards pick Generator Rental, with the same allowance.
  • How much does it cost? Both are priced by the truck with unlimited users, from $99 per truck per month billed annually ($1,190 per truck per year) on Solo, with Growth and Pro above it. Either one adds to an existing RouteHouse trade at 40% off. Larger fleets are quoted.
  • Does it connect to generator monitoring systems? Not directly — it isn’t a manufacturer integration. But Standby Power takes your monitoring alert EMAILS: each one lands in your schedule matched to the customer by serial number, and a fault can become an emergency job automatically. Works with alert emails from Generac Mobile Link and Mobile Link Fleet, Kohler Energy Management and other brands that email alerts. Building the generators yourself? RouteHouse for equipment makers turns connected-product alerts into work orders on your dealers’ schedules.
